Training Material on Climate Change Adaptation Measures and Healthy Soil in E-learning Format

The purpose of this project, funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), is to develop two e-learning courses on climate change adaptation measures and approaches to healthy soil for climate change adaptation. These courses aim to enhance the capacity of agricultural producers, advisors, students, and other stakeholders in the fields of climate change (CC), disaster risk reduction and management (DRR/M), and climate-smart agriculture (CSA).

Two e-format courses will be produced, each comprising multiple modules. Both courses will be available on the e-learning platform: https://www.agrokursevi.rs/ as open-access resources.

The course on “Climate Change in Agriculture and Adaptation Measures to Climate Change Risks” will cover topics such as:

  • The impact of climate change on agricultural production in Serbia
  • Sustainable systems in the context of climate change
  • Vulnerability and adaptation measures for fruit and vineyard production
  • Vulnerability and adaptation measures for meadows and pastures due to climate change
  • Livestock production in the context of climate change
  • Water needs assessment and adaptation measures for agriculture in response to climate change
  • Climate change, financing, and risk management in agriculture

The course on “Healthy Soils and Their Role in Sustainable Agriculture and Climate-Smart Agriculture” will cover topics such as:

  • Soil: The beginning and end of agriculture
  • Soil: Composition, mechanism, and organism
