Invitation to participate in the course “MODERN PROTECTION SYSTEMS AND DIGITAL SOLUTIONS IN AGRICULTURE”

With the support of the regional USAID EDGE Project, we have developed a specialized course scheduled to take place from April 3rd to April 5th, 2024, in Gruža, at Hotel Ravni Gaj – link to the hotel website.

This course is designed for individuals engaged in commercial fruit production, storage, processing, and sales, seeking to enhance their knowledge in these areas.

In addition to participants from Serbia, the course will be attended by representatives from 23 companies in North Macedonia (AD Agrolozar – Winery Dalvina, DTU Lipa, KIM Negotino, AERUS – Probištip, LK RASPBERRI, HEJZL1-Skopje, ACORN-Skopje, EKOVITA, Fruktana – Štip, etc.).

The instructors include professors from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Belgrade and successful entrepreneurs with extensive practical experience.

Through interactive lectures, exercises, practical examples, and organized visits to facilities, participants will gain contemporary knowledge and innovative approaches. The first day of the course will commence with a networking session for participants to introduce themselves, present their companies, and establish connections.

Topics on the first day will focus on the significance of modern systems for protection against natural disasters and climate change, integrated protection in orchards, practical examples of “smart agriculture,” and a presentation on digital marketing by experts from the company “digital2.” Participants will also learn about modern business systems, trading chain operations, and terms of business. The first day concludes with a discussion involving all speakers and participants.

The second day is reserved for field visits. Lectures will take place at the “Gruža agrar” company plantation, providing participants with the opportunity to interact directly with lecturers, learn about post-harvest product storage, and understand fruit quality management during packing and storage. Following this, visits to two more facilities are planned, with the day concluding with a gala dinner.

The third day is dedicated to a B2B event among participating companies, followed by a final conference where participants can exchange views, discuss relevant business topics, and propose recommendations for improving business conditions in the agriculture sector to be presented to the Project and relevant authorities of both countries.

The course aims to provide participants with knowledge and experiences to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, increase sales and profits, and establish collaborations between companies.

Thanks to the USAID EDGE project, participants benefit from a subsidized course fee.

• Option 1: The registration fee for the entire course is 11,000.00 dinars, covering course materials, a certificate, meals (lunch, coffee breaks, refreshments, gala dinner) for all three days, and organized transportation for visits to selected facilities. Participants are responsible for their travel, accommodation, and personal expenses during the course.
• Option 2: The registration fee with accommodation for the entire course is 21,000.00 dinars, including single-room accommodation (2 nights with breakfast on April 2nd and 3rd), course materials, a certificate, meals (lunch, dinner, coffee breaks, refreshments, gala dinner) for all three days, and organized transportation for visits to selected facilities. Participants are responsible for their travel and personal expenses during the course.
• Option 3 – Participants who are interested in only a part of the course may choose to pay the registration fee for the day they choose in the amount of 3,000.00 dinars, which includes the course material, catering (lunch, coffee breaks, refreshments), i.e. organized transportation for visiting the selected facilities, and they will bear the travel, accommodation and personal expenses during this period themselves.

The number of participants is limited to 15.

Priority registration and guaranteed placement in the course will be given to participants who apply first and make the necessary payment – registration fee.
