“MODERN APPROACHES TO WINE PRODUCTION WITH THE TERROIR EXPRESSION”
The course will take place from October 22nd to 24th, 2020, in Prokuplje.

AgroNET – Center for Education and Research invites you to a professional course “MODERN APPROACHES TO WINE PRODUCTION WITH THE TERROIR EXPRESSION “ which will be held from October 22nd to 24th at the Hammeum Hotel in Prokuplje.
During the three-day course, participants will learn about modern approaches in grape and wine production that are crucial for improving quality, reducing production costs, and increasing competitiveness in domestic and international markets.
Special attention will be given to wines made from the indigenous Prokupac grape variety from different regions.
Expert lecturers in the field of viticulture and marketing:
• Dr. Slavica Todić, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade
• Dr. Miroslav Nikolić, Center for Multidisciplinary Research, University of Belgrade
• Vladan Nikolić, winemaker
• Matej Korenika, Korenika & Moskon Winery, Slovenia
• Igor Luković, Vino & Fino magazine Through lectures, workshops, best practice examples, and practical advice, we will cover the following topics:
• Modern approaches in vineyard establishment and the importance of viticultural practices for expressing terroir in wine
• Soil as a terroir factor; vine nutrition and grape and wine quality
• Enological procedures in wine production
• Biodynamic and organic approaches in grape and wine production
• Modern approaches in wine marketing and promotion
The practical part of the course will take place in the vineyards of Prokuplje and Župa wine regions.
The course is intended for vine growers, winemakers, winery owners, and consultants.
Registration is mandatory, and the number of participants is limited to 20 persons. The registration fee is 6,000 dinars for all three days.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided to participants during the course, and a special dinner – Terroir party – will be held on the second day of the course.
Note: Travel and accommodation expenses are not included in the course fee.
