TRAINING SESSIONS FOR AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY AND EXPERT SERVICES OF SERBIA
Training sessions titled “Agroecological Measures in Climate Change Adaptation,” as part of the support for implementing Measure 4 “Agro-ecological Climate Measure and Organic Production” of the IPARD III program, were conducted within the project “Strengthening the Resilience of the Agricultural Sector to Natural Disasters” funded by the EU and organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
TRAINING SESSIONS FOR AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY AND EXPERT SERVICES OF SERBIA As part of the project “Strengthening the Resilience of the Agricultural Sector to Natural Disasters” funded by the EU and organized by FAO, AgroNET conducted two training sessions for advisors employed in agricultural advisory and expert services in Serbia, under the title “AGROECOLOGICAL MEASURES IN CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION AS PART OF THE SUPPORT FOR IMPLEMENTING MEASURE 4 ‘AGRO-ECOLOGICAL CLIMATE MEASURE AND ORGANIC PRODUCTION’ OF THE IPARD III PROGRAM.”
The training sessions took place in Belgrade on December 2nd at the Faculty of Agriculture and in Niš on December 7th at the Center for Vocational Education. A total of 230 advisors attended the training.
The overall objective of the training was to enhance knowledge in the field of agroecology, focusing on various practices in crop systems and their effects on ecosystems in agricultural production, as well as acquiring new knowledge about the conditions and implementation of Measure 4 – “Agro-ecological Climate Measure and Organic Production” of the IPARD III Program.
The lecturers included Marina Vujović from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, professors from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade: Vlade Zarić, Đorđe Moravčević, Dragan Radivojević, and Dragan Stanojević, as well as a senior research associate from the Institute of Soil in Belgrade – Vladan Ugrenović.
The lecturers and the organization of the training received excellent ratings from the participants, with an average score of 4.82.
